ProactiveSQL was started in 2015 to give small and medium size companies an inexpensive and quick alternative to solving SQL Server performance and tuning problems. This was borne out of the observation that most SQL performance issues at companies without a DBA are relatively easy for a trained technician to solve, but that full-time DBAs and specialized performance and tuning consultants can be prohibitively expensive.
ProactiveSQL is run by David Crook, who is a Microsoft certified senior SQL Server DBA based in the Kansas City area. He has managed some of the largest SQL Server environments in the Kansas City area, and has presented on SQL performance and tuning techniques to SQL Server user groups. David has experience in performance and tuning for small, medium, and large size companies as well as very large government agencies.
